Balance
Went out walkin the other day
went walking down by the waterfront
saw the greasy waves lap the pier
and I thought about the future
thought about hope and thought about fear
In the balance
I walked past a sports field
saw some young women playing basket ball
felt the pressure of unborn people trying to escape from me

Then I walked down some city streets
Saw the buildings of glass and steel
Saw the people who worked in them
Tried to imagine how they must feel

Then I picked up a newspaper
Read about how in Europe they've shortened the working day by two hours
Where as in North America
They're working om a concept called the new standard working month its got 40 days or something
Saving time ( they're running out of time)
